Mystery Reader
Thank you to all of the Hedghog parents who have been reading to us. We really appreciate the time and the effort that you all have put in to reading us a story. All of the stories have been fabulous so far and we all get excited about who is going to read to us next.

Mother's Day
Happy Mother's Day to our wonderful mums. In Hedgehogs, we have been practising origami and have learnt to make a paper rose. We decided to work together to make a bunch of flowers for our loved ones.

D.T.
Bread making! We spent Thursday acting like Thomas Farriner by making bread. We worked together to pour in the yeast and water. Then we kneaded the bread to make a beautiful, smooth piece of bread! In the afternoon, we managed to taste some and we evaluated it. Yummy! Please see our Facebook page to see more pictures from our wonderful day!

World Book Day
Wow! What a day World Book Day was. The children dressed up as some AMAZING book characters. We spent the first part of our day talking about our favourite books and our outfits. Then, we focused our learning on 'The Book With No Pictures'. We created some music to go along with the book and we read it as a class. We loved the book and would recommend it to EVERYONE!

R.E.
Recently, in R.E., we have been role playing some stories from the bible. In this lesson, we acted out the story where Jesus said 'Let the children come... The kingdom of God belongs to people who are like these little children'.

Great Fire of London Workshop!

We went back in time to watch how the Great Fire of London started. We learned about the panic and chaos that occured in the first few days and learned all sorts of interesting facts about it. The children acted out various roles and had so much fun!
Music!

This week, we have been playing a range of musical instruments to create a piece of music for the Great Fire of London. We discussed about how different instruments suit different emotions. We used the drums to create 'panic' and we used the xylophones to create 'calm'.
Money!
This week, Hedgehogs have been learning about money. We spent Thursday turning our classroom into a shop and went round spending our pretend money. We have also learned a little bit about the history of money and how people used to trade.

Autumn Term 25
The Nativity!
Wow! What a couple of weeks it has been. Well done to the whole of KS1 for a brilliant nativity. Below are some of the pictures we took. Merry Christmas and have a wonderful new year.

Lego club!
Lots of Hedgehogs attend lego club, so here are some pictures of them building!

Super Science
Recently, in science, we made our own anemometers! We needed a bit of help, so we used a fan. The results were impressive!
Well done Hedgehogs!

Messy Maths
Recently, we decided to have a practical maths session in the hall where we could show off all of our maths skills. In the picutres you can see that we had fun making our number bonds to 10, measuring things, building towers and having a go at a dart/target board!

Remembrance Day
Today, we learned about Remembrance Day and the significance of poppies. We made a class wreath to show our learning.

SCIENCE!
Recently, we have been learning about animals. We have learned about what animals need to survive and the different groups and categories animals belong in. We also decorated our display with pictures of our pets from home. Please bring some in so we can add more.

ART!
This week, we did some tree paintings in the style of Henri Rousseau. We then used pencil crayon to add texture. Take a look at our fantastic art work!

CAFOD
This week we learned about CAFOD. We learned about how they help people all over the world in places such as Asia, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.

Wolves!
Today, we practised drawing wolves. We drew them in all sorts of styles ready for our Henri Rousseau style pictures next week.
